The membership year runs from 1st April.
The society currently has close to 200 members from 21 countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Iran, Malaysia, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, USA).

 Individual membership

Membership is open to anybody.
Annual membership fee is (£65; €85; US $90) for individuals.
50% reduction for students or non-commercial members from countries defined as low or middle-income economies (http://data.worldbank.org/about/country-and-lending-groups#Low_income)

Academic group membership 

10% reduction is available to academic groups of 4 or more fom the same academic institutions.

Corporate membership

Two tiers of corporate membership
Gold - £850 (€1100/$1200) benefits for up to 10 named members,
Silver - £425 (€550/$600) benefits for up to 4 named members.
Corporate membership includes acknowledgement and display of logos on the website, at meetings and on newsletters.

COVID 19 arrangements


Due to disruption of the Society’s activities due to CoVID-19, the following extension of membership has been made:


If you were a member on 31
st March 2020 your membership remains valid until 31st March 2022. No additional payments are necessary.

If you have paid a further membership fee since 31st March 2020, your membership will be extended until 31st March 2023.


If you joined the Society between 1st April - 31st March 2021, your membership is also valid until 31stMarch 2022.


If you joined the Society after 1st April 2021, your membership is valid until 31st March 2023.
